My name is Amy Tan. I am an aspiring front-end developer from New York City passionate about designing and building accessible, user-centered websites.
My first experience with web development began on a blogging site called Tumblr, a platform where users can choose a blog theme, or create and upload their own. I couldn't find a theme with features that catered directly to my preferences, and so I decided to make my own by learning how to code with HTML and CSS.
Currently, I am the webmaster and one of the committee heads of RIT's Women in Computing organization.
I am also a Girls Who Code alumna and participated in the Summer Immersion Program at AppNexus on August 2017.
